After releasing tracks and remixes on countless different places and labels, its finally time for miasmah founder and labelowner Erik Skodvin to release a full length album. Material wise containing tracks made during 2001-2002, including some of his best works to date. For the ones familiar with his style, you will not be disapointed .. carrying melancholy melody lines and experimental ambient cuts in this electronica wired approach. Slugabed ends off using the help of trumpet player Frode...

ahh it's that time again, time to put pen to paper and try to give you a folks some idea of what to expect from this ep. in days where experimentation and electronics seem to be the order of the day, we at miasmah thought it was high time to pay homage to our roots and what better way to do it than with aphilas' instrumentally ill ep. my notes tell me here we are presented with 'two finnish producers armed with second-hand vinyl and outdated software', need i say more? here we have the perfect...

continuing the line of EPs released comes genox with his 5-track, 'kkontrast'. this one showcases the more experimental side to miasmah, the tracks ranging from psychedelic to ambient to twisted dub/dnb breaks in 'shower hour (bobby mix)', the standout track for me. the ep could almost be seen as one continuous track as there are no gaps where each track begins and ends (better get the gapless output plugin for winamp :). all in all this is certainly something rather special and very refreshing...

miasmah oldtimer xhale finally releases his first EP , delivering 3 soothing pieces of electronics. basoon blur and middle fountain representing ambient deepness and monotonik bass sounds layered with gentle warm moods. dry vinyl noises and spinning filmrolls .. adding a old film feeling. steady stroll on the other hand moves abit further down the road .. using dry electronic sounds intergrated with lurking melody lines. quite different from his last release.

second EP release by u.s resident transient shows the musically variation skills the man has. Extremely beutiful soundscape ambients floating around like peace itself. Follows up the style from the lighted apartment comp. earlier released on miasmah. It feels like time stops when the air conditioning sound of cemetary sunset persists. This is for cooling down after heating in the sun throughout the day.

this new release from Solitaire albread (also known as xhale) is his first EP here at miasmah and is a little different from his previous releases. minimal is definitely the key word here - with subtle electronic touches backed by 4/4 beats Solitaire albread produces an original sound that is almost impossible to define, whilst at the same time he manages to stamp his distinct style on it. if you're a fan of his previous stuff you're going to love this new direction just as much - one love.
